Steelcase has announced this year’s recipients of their annual Active Learning Center grant. Now in it’s fourth year, up to 16 select educational institutions around the country will be awarded a new classroom space to support active learning strategies using furniture that is designed to encourage engagement and success. This year, two schools in our area will benefit from this program: Virginia Tech and Radford University. Barrows, Inc. has been selected as the local dealer to implement these spaces at both Universities. Each grant is valued at $67,000 and will include furniture, design review, installation, onsite training and a Learning Environment Evaluation measurement tool. Expected completion of both projects by Barrows is the fall of 2018.
